HELLO!

I am Maria, “the curious dental assistant.” I have been working in the dental field for over two years and as my blog title suggests, I have always been and always will be curious about anything and everything. I am someone who welcomes any opportunity that comes my way to learn something new and I am thankful that the dynamic and fast-changing dental field provides me with these opportunities. Currently working at a general practice, I get to assist in many different types of procedures and deal with a variety of patients. I would say that my favorite procedure is anything surgery-related whether it be teeth extractions, surgical flaps, or surgical grafting… I find them all exciting. I really enjoy working in a general practice because I get to learn and experience all types of treatment procedures, my days are always unique, and I get to work with a great team. In the PID program at VCC, I dive into a whole new subject matter that gives me the opportunity to update myself and learn – and even unlearn – from excellent sources. Excited and a little nervous, but always very curious. Cheers!

And, oh, I think I’m funny 😊.
